About Earth to Heaven Replies
Heaven is in ruins. The Host have fled to Earth, where they must confront their own disorganization and inexperience; Earth's other inhabitants, both magical and mundane; and the pitfalls of occupying a human body that may have its own agenda. Africa
Modern humanity and lilit-kind both originated in Africa, many tens of thousands of years ago; it has been home to some of history's most famous lilim and the site of some of history's most notorious angelic activity. Its modern human population is predominantly Muslim and Christian, but even many followers of the Abrahamic religions incorporate indigenous practices into their worship. North America
This continent has experienced a greater number of distinct waves of human and lilit colonization than any other, and has an accordingly diverse and cosmopolitan population of both. Lilim are tenacious -- and sometimes long-lived -- and there are legends walking North America that have been entirely forgotten by its human population. Christianity is prevalent, and syncretic African diaspora religions are prominent throughout the Caribbean and along proximate coasts. South America
The upshot of South America's colorful, diverse and lethal biosphere and moderate population density is a lilit community that is not to be trifled with and has a lot of humans around to dislike. On the other hand, the Amazon basin is one of the few places on Earth where an incautious lilit may be spotted by a human being and simply photographed and written up in a scholarly article; this is a hobby of some of the young ones. South America's human population is overwhelmingly Catholic. Last post by Tawsi Melek in Making the Band on July 21, 2010, 11:06:34 PM |

Asia
Human-lilit relations have generally been better in Asia than in other parts of the world, and today it contains the largest number of lilim living openly among humans, either as little gods or as equal members of the community. The Dharmic religions are dominant here, but Islam has a substantial foothold in India and the south, and there is a smattering of Christianity throughout. Europe
Europe's high human population density has been hard on its lilit inhabitants, and bitter émigrés who could not accept being driven deep into hiding or far into the boondocks or would not tolerate being reduced in story to whimsical milk-fiending small folk are common. Christianity came into itself in Europe and is still the dominant religion there, though in recent decades irreligiosity has burgeoned. The Middle East
Human civilization arose in the Middle East, and the region has been hotly contested, in whole and in part, pretty much without pause since then. The Middle East is also the birthplace of the Abrahamic religions, of which Islam is currently the most prominent there. Many local lilim are among the faithful. Their cousins abroad hardly know what to do with them. Last post by Elijah in And they said unto the o... on June 29, 2010, 01:07:38 PM |

Oceania
"Oceania" is more a cartographic than a political or cultural entity. The only safe generalization to make about the region's lilim is that they mean business, from the bizarre (and, with alarming frequency, venomous) results of Australia's long biological isolation to the descendants of the late, lamented moa to the Micronesian island chains that occasionally lift their heads and yawn.
